Tak is a provice and provincial capital in west central Thailand, north of Bangkok on the border with Myanmar. Once a rallying point for Thai armies in wars against the Burmese kingdoms, the province now operates as a major trading centre between the two countries. It’s mountainous terrain and somewhat cooler temperatures make it a favourite holiday destination for those looking to escape the city heat. Mountains and waterfalls are the main attraction of this photogenic province.
