Chiangmai is Thailand's northern cultural capital. Rich in history, it is home to the ancient Lanna Thai kingdom, which was the begining of modern Thailand. Plan for at least three days or more exploring in and around this amazing city. To the north and west you will find hilltribe villages, some awe inspiring temples, and The Royal Palace atop Doi Suthep is open to the public during times which The Royal Family are not present.

Inside Chiang Mai you will still find remenants of the old Lanna Kingdom, including the ancient city walls which still remain intact around many parts of the inner city. Chiang Mai is gaining an international reputation for its fine health and beauty spas.
